Migrant and Refugee Bulletin #5 - Food crisis and displacement

In the fifth issue of the Migrant and Refugee monthly bulletin “From COVID-19 towards the future together”, Pope Francis encourages us to reflect on millions of people around the world facing hunger brought about by armed conflict, climate change, poverty and the pandemic. The Migrants & Refugees Section believes that the global community must act jointly to build sustainable food systems and peaceful societies in the long term.

The bulletin includes an executive summary on the food crisis during COVID-19, produced by Economics Taskforce.

COVID-19: No One Must Be Forgotten!

Bulletin #4 - Migration and an inclusive economy

In the fourth issue of the Migrant and Refugee monthly bulletin “From COVID-19 towards the future together”, Pope Francis encourages us to think about a post COVID-19 era, where no one is left behind. To achieve this, those who pledge to help must listen to those who suffer, who are confined and whose voice is usually ignored. Only such a path of dialogue-based action honours the human dignity of all.

The bulletin also includes reflections and proposals of the Vatican COVID-19 Commission on the socio-economic, health, cultural and political challenges of the future and initiatives and good practices promoted by Catholic actors throughout the world to assist the COVID-affected and marginalised groups, especially vulnerable people on the move.
