During the registration process, you will be asked to read and agree to the terms and conditions below. Submission of a registration is regarded as confirmation of your acceptance of the conference terms and conditions.

Registrations and Attendance

  • Participants are not permitted to split a full conference registration. Sharing a registration is not allowed, and a single registration cannot be used by more than one person.
  • Only registered participants will be guaranteed access to the event.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Registration and ticket purchases are managed by a third‑party vendor, Eventbrite. Therefore, registrants wishing to cancel a conference registration must do so through Eventbrite.
  • Cancellations received between Wednesday, 1 July 2026 and midnight on Friday, 31 July 2026 will receive a refund of 80% of the fees paid.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations received on or after Saturday, 1 August 2026.
  • No refunds will be issued for non-attendance at the conference.

Privacy Policy

ACMRO, an agency of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, is committed to data privacy and to protecting your personal information. Information on how ACMRO collects, processes, and uses your data is outlined in the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated into these Terms and Conditions.

ACMRO uses the personal data you provide during registration solely to administer your participation in this conference. This may include information about the conference content, conference updates, and additional details related to the event.

Non-discrimination policy

ACMRO aims to provide a conference environment for all participants, staff, speakers, sponsors, and collaborators that supports awareness of, and respect for, equality and cultural inclusion, and is free from unlawful behaviour.

Conference conduct and safety

ACMRO is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all participants, including staff and guests. ACMRO has zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form at ACMRO-related events. Participants are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others.

Participants should report any behaviour inconsistent with these principles to onsite ACMRO staff. ACMRO staff will be happy to assist participants in contacting venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise support individuals experiencing harassment so they feel safe throughout the conference. We value your attendance. 

Liability waiver and release

In consideration of being allowed to register for and participate in the conference, you hereby warrant and represent that you are 18 years of age or older and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue ACMRO or its staff, conference partners, or volunteers for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury (including loss of life) or illness, including but not limited to disability, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind that you may suffer or sustain before, during, or after the conference, unless such harm is caused solely by the gross negligence of ACMRO.

This liability waiver and release is binding upon your heirs and assigns and is knowingly given.

Usage of photographic and video material taken during the Conference

Please note that photographs and videos may be taken during the conference and used solely in ACMRO website articles and newsletters.

If you do not wish to have your photograph or video included on these platforms, please advise Don Gomez (contact details below).

Automating newsletter subscriptions for Conference participants

Please note that our registration system (e.g., Eventbrite) is connected to our email provider through an automated workflow that subscribes new attendees so they immediately receive a welcome email and relevant post-event updates (e.g., ACMRO Newsletter).

Please advise Don Gomez (contact details below) at any time if you wish to unsubscribe from the email list.

General

The views expressed by any participant, staff member, speaker, sponsor, or collaborator are not necessarily those of ACMRO. All participants, staff, speakers, sponsors, and collaborators are solely responsible for the content of their individual presentations, marketing materials, and/or advertising.
